Meet Our Founders
Karl Christians
Karl Christians brings a lifetime of hands-on experience and passion for machinery to our team. Raised on a mixed farm just outside of Stettler, AB, Karl’s early years were spent raising cattle and operating equipment. This upbringing instilled in him a deep understanding of the importance of equipment maintenance and repair.
In December 1979, Karl earned his Journeyman Automotive Technician certification in Alberta. He spent a decade working in dealerships before dedicating over 30 years to operating and maintaining a wide range of equipment. This extensive experience has equipped Karl with a profound knowledge of how various machines work and the critical nature of regular maintenance.
Today, Karl is a proud grandfather of eight grandchildren. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Brenda and their herd of cats. His lifelong commitment to equipment and maintenance is a cornerstone of Field Worx’s operational excellence.
Bob Christians
Bob Christians shares a similar background of growing up on a farm in Central Alberta. From a young age, Bob was immersed in the daily operations of farm life, including the maintenance and operation of machinery. This early exposure sparked his passion for equipment, leading him to pursue a career that combined his interests and skills.
Bob spent over 20 years working in the Alberta oilfield, holding senior management positions in fleet and operations management. These roles honed his skills in managing and maintaining equipment, ultimately inspiring him to start his own company and build a fleet of his own.
As a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, Bob emphasizes the importance of safety and reliability. His commitment to these principles is evident in how Field Worx operates. Bob’s dedication to maintenance ensures that our equipment is always in top condition, providing safe and reliable service to our clients.
Bob enjoys spending time with his family, including his partner Skye and their four children, Brady, Cassandra, Danika, and Elaina. His personal and professional experiences underscore his commitment to safety, making it a priority in all Field Worx projects.
